Wilderness Cottages

Wilderness cottages was first formed in 1993 and grew from letting a single self catering cottage near Loch Ness to the business we have today, with a selection of high quality holiday cottages, houses and apartments for hire throughout Scotland.  Our variety of self catering properties offer something a little different; such as a restored wing of a castle, a log house, a traditional croft, a converted barn or a cottage near a loch or the sea.

Our self catering cottages provide excellent year round holiday accommodation; many have log fires for an instant romantic atmosphere, most have stunning views of mountains, forest, and lochs.  This is what Scotland and Wilderness Cottages is all about!

We visit every individual property to ensure our guests receive the quality they are expecting and this is where we have an advantage over many larger agencies, who very often have not visited their cottages and who’s interest really only lies in marketing the summer season.

Although we have now increased the number of cottages we let we have continued with the same policies – environmentally friendly, pet friendly (wherever possible – a few cottages are really not suitable) and, most importantly, with personal customer service, both prior to and during your holiday.  We are always available to help sort out any problems that you might have and are only a phone call away.

We offer self catering holiday accommodation across Scotland.  Popular areas include the west coast, Sutherland, Argyll and Bute as well as the Isle of Skye, where many of you seem very keen to stay.  For those that enjoy 2 centre holidays – what better combination than a week on the west coast or in Perthshire, followed by a week near the ever mysterious Loch Ness.

You are more than welcome to bring your pet.  As dog owners ourselves we know how important it is to have our furry friends join us on holiday, they are part of the family after all.  Wilderness Cottages are pleased to be able to offer a range of properties throughout Scotland that will accept dogs and all self-catering accommodation.

Scotland is a great place for you to explore with your dog with numerous forests, moorlands, hills, trails and pathways to explore and without travelling too far, beaches too.  With so many sights, smells and sounds your four legged friend will be in seventh heaven.
